Be the state’s leading voice for raising public awareness and understanding of the humanities and build capacity for humanities organizations across the state.
Background
In 2021, the New Jersey Council for the Humanities undertook a rigorous and participatory strategic planning process to guide its work over the next 3-5 years.
Working with an outside consultant, the organization sought the feedback of key stakeholder groups through surveys and listening sessions. This feedback directly informed the creation of a statement of organizational values, long-term strategies, and specific action steps.
In a show of accountability to our stakeholders and ourselves, we will track and report on our achievements in key areas as we progress through the plan. While stakeholder participation was key to the planning process, stakeholder engagement with the plan continues. We encourage you to engage with the plan and us.
