In this event, author Sarah Lohman will discuss her book Endangered Eating, with a special focus on her heirloom cider apples chapter.

Join NJCH grantee the Newark History Society on a fun-filled bus tour exploring the historic sites and stories of Cudjo Banquante. The free bus tours will be offered at three times as part of week of activities commemorating Banquante's life and legacy.

The Trent House Association, an NJCH grantee, will host a free talk by Professor Andy Urban on the interpretation of labor and immigration at historic sites.

NJCH grantee the Mahwah Museum will host "A Novel in 500 Words: Explore the Challenging and Wonderful World of Writing for Children with Jenna Beatrice." Beatrice will discuss her road to becoming an author of children’s books, the nature of writing for children, and how to get books published in today’s environment.
