Last month, NJCH staff along with several board members made the trip up to Boston for the annual National Humanities Conference.
The conference welcomed hundreds of humanities professionals (or humanists as they are sometimes called) from state councils and universities to explore all things humanities. This year’s conference provided a chance for NJCH to connect with and learn from other humanists from different parts of the country. Discussions about reaching audiences, examinations of the effectiveness of various program models, strategies for building mission awareness, and best practices for advocacy efforts were all topics that sparked interesting conversations and provided valuable insight. We’d like to extend thanks to the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the National Humanities Alliance for organizing the conference. And we’d also like to thank Mass Humanities for being a wonderful Bostonian host.
