Tracey Nguyễn Mang

NJCH board member Tracey Nguyễn Mang was born in Vietnam and came to the United States as part of the Vietnamese refugee exodus, also known as the “Boat People” migration, following the end of the Vietnam War. Her family’s experiences inspired her to found Vietnamese Boat People, a podcast and nonprofit that preserves stories from the community and empowers others to explore their family histories and personal narratives.

Sara Siegler

Sara Siegler is assistant director of Ocean County Library and previously served in leadership roles at several other New Jersey public libraries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in library and information science from Rutgers University.

Jacquie Colgan

Jacquie is a philanthropist who supports many causes, including serving on the Boards of Bloomfield College and the Drumthwacket Foundation.

Carol A. Murphy

Carol Murphy has represented the 7th District in the New Jersey General Assembly since 2018.

Denise Coulter, Ed.D.

An administrator and professor of English, Dr. Coulter is passionate about helping NJCH meet its strategic goal to expand access to the humanities through enhanced partnerships with New Jersey’s community colleges. 

Howard Marchitello, Ph.D.

Howard Marchitello is University Professor of English at Rutgers University-Camden. Previously dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Marchitello has served as a faculty member and in a variety of leadership positions since joining Rutgers-Camden in 2009.

Lacey Cotter Rzeszowski

Lacey Cotter Rzeszowski is the Manager of Events and Strategic Engagement for the Regional Plan Association.

Sadaf Jaffer, Ph.D.

An expert in South Asian history and policy, Sadaf Jaffer’s passion for the humanities has informed her work as a scholar, board member, and elected official.
