Family Ties: Stories That Inspire is a Raíces Community History project that aims to preserve and share family histories and stories, with a focus on oral history and story gathering. Not all families have the luxury to possess physical objects as proof of their existence and that is why stories are so powerful.
Through preservation, documentation and multimedia creation, this project shares different experiences and realities that culminate the existence of various cultures, communities, or countries so that everyone can see themselves represented in the re-telling of history.
The project had its genesis in NJCH’s Community History Program.
