Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice (2025)
Location: Princeton
Website: https://www.rustincenter.org/
Grant Round: 2025 Round 1
Award: Action / $10,000
Purpose: To support the Bayard Rustin Queer History Physical & Virtual Archive.
Building on the success of its previous NJCH grant, the BRCSJ will expand the Bayard Rustin Queer History Archive Project. This will enable dedicated staff time to gather additional sources related to Bayard Rustin’s life and legacy, improve public access to the archive through online resources and outreach efforts, and publicize the archive to researchers, educators, and the general public. By expanding the scope and reach of the archive, this project will ensure that Bayard Rustin’s significant contributions to social justice are preserved and celebrated for generations to come.
