Mercer County Community College is offering a new Community Journalism certificate program a part of the NJCH’s Informed NJ program.
This six-evening class will teach participants the basic newswriting and reporting skills needed to cover issues of concern to their community. The program is free and all materials will be provided. Sessions will be led by a journalism professor and include guest presentations from writers and editors from several community publications and national media outlets.
Sessions will be held at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College. The February 8 session will be held virtually via Zoom.
