Connecting communities with the environmental humanities
New Jersey Council for the Humanities is excited to re-launch our speakers bureau for 2025, now called Community Conversations. Our specially selected Community Scholars will bring interactive programs focused on the theme of Environmental Humanities to host organizations across the State of New Jersey.
Our new program will cover topics on the environment and place through the lens of history, literature, and philosophy to encourage discussions in your local community about sustainability, ecosystems, and place. Many of our programs will focus on New Jersey history and landscapes.
Host institutions can be libraries, community and senior centers, historical societies, civic organizations, environmental organizations and other community organizations open to the general public.
