Donna Vandergrift is currently the Dean of Liberal Arts at Rowan College of Burlington County, but also has a long history at the institution that began more than 30 years ago. As a faculty member, she won numerous awards including the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award and Professor of the Year, served as president of the Faculty Senate, chair of the curriculum committee, coordinator of the psychology program, and visiting faculty administrator, and she was at the forefront of technological advances in the classroom and online.
In her current role and her past roles, she has successfully led many college-level projects that have made significant improvements for students and the institution, including guiding the development and implementation of guided pathways, initiating the implementation of Inclusive Access reducing costs of over 75 courses in her division, and serving as a co-chair for the college’s Continuous Improvement team which led to the development and implementation of a climate survey designed to improve campus culture. Additionally, she has been part of the inaugural team that oversaw the initial 3+1 program and currently she oversees six 3+1 degrees, with three more in development.
