The Incubation and Action Grant program at NJCH provides funding for public humanities projects through a competitive grant process. Montclair State University received an Incubation Grant to create written and oral Haitian Creole translations of 18th century French archival sources on political life, commerce, and the lives of people of color. The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum received an Action Grant to recreate a smaller version of a World War II-era spotter tower and tell the story of the women, elderly, and children that volunteered as plane spotters.
