Peace Festival ’24

NJCH is pleased to sponsor the Peace Islands Institute’s “Peace Festival ’24.” Peace Festival ’24 aims to foster a sense of community, promote physical well-being, and advance the United Nations’ International Peace Day. What began as a traditional bike and walk event has evolved into a grand “Peace Festival” that celebrates the diverse and harmonious spirit of our community in New Jersey. This event aims to unite people and promote peace, dialogue, and friendship.

Participants are invited to join their family and friends for half an hour of biking and walking, intercultural peace prayers, multicultural live music and dance performances, art for peace, kids’ activities, delicious food, and an exciting raffle!

International Peace Day is celebrated globally each year on September 21st. Established by the United Nations in 1981, this day is dedicated to promoting world peace and the sustainable absence of war and violence. The theme for International Peace Day in 2024 is “Cultivating a Culture of Peace.”
