“Civics, News, and Nonprofits”: CivicStory Public Forum

NJCH is proud to sponsor CivicStory’s public forum, “Civics, News, and Nonprofits.”

The lively dialog on these important pillars of society will take place on Wednesday, October 9, at 4 pm on Zoom. The discussion will consider the purpose of news, the role of nonprofits, and how to define successful elections longterm.

CivicStory will welcome four excellent guest panelists:

• Linda Czipo, President and CEO, New Jersey Center for Nonprofits
• Sarah Gamard, investigative journalist and program manager for the Elections & Democracy Initiative, Center for Community News (CCN), University of Vermont
• Micah Anglin, 2024 Howard University graduate and policy analyst for the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, working on reducing environmental health risks in homes, and
• Tristan Weisenbach, Managing Editor of The Signal, past CivicStory Ecology-Justice Fellow, and a senior at The College of New Jersey majoring in journalism and professional writing.
