What do you remember about the first time you voted?

DCP Response
It was in a church’s rec room. It was a local election so the candidates were outside handing people papers and doing last minute campaigning. I was the only person there at the time under 35.

What do you remember about the first time you voted?

DCP Response
Have not voted yet… but if you are talking like class president or something, I remember feeling very insignificant. I was always very introverted, so I wasn’t out and about screaming “vote for ___!” I think if you truly care about what you are voting for publicly sharing your views/campaigning can help make you feel better and also make a real difference.

I have not had the chance to vote in any elections or decisions yet. But I know it as a private process that isn’t observed and therefore allows me to vote freely and without scrutiny.
