Community History and Humanities Lab Cohorts Receive Project Approval and Funding

October 30, 2024

After months of collaborative learning and project development, our latest Community History and Humanities Lab cohorts have reached a major milestone: their project proposals have been approved for NJCH funding and are set to launch this month.

Participants of both programs engaged in intensive workshops, mentoring sessions, and collaborative discussions, refining their ideas into actionable project plans.

On September 20, they presented their final proposals to an audience of fellow cohort members, NJCH staff, and guests. They received insightful feedback and support from their peers, and ultimately secured approval to move forward with their projects.

Over the next year, the organizations will work with their communities to make their plans a reality. During that time, they will have the opportunity to attend regular cohort meetups to update their peers on their progress and receive additional resources and support.

We’re excited to see how these projects evolve and create meaningful change in their communities through public humanities programming!

Stay tuned for updates as these projects unfold and learn more about how you can get involved in our future Community History and Humanities Lab cohorts.
