Montclair Public Library will update and expand its local history collection to better reflect the ethnic diversity of Montclair’s population. They plan to solicit personal stories of individuals who immigrated to Montclair since 1965. These patrons will be invited and welcomed into the library for cultural events and writing workshops where they will have the opportunity to contribute written personal stories of immigrating to Montclair. This project will allow underrepresented communities to be active participants in the creation and description of their own archives.
