Dear Friend of the Council,
As libraries, museums, cultural institutions, and other nonprofits emerged from quarantine to a new(ish) world earlier in the year, many found that their audiences were more interested than ever in public humanities programming. What did they do? They adapted. They found innovative ways to connect with public audiences to harness the power of the humanities for the common good. We have been continually inspired by the resilience and adaptability of our grantees and program partners.
Thank you. Thank you for all that you do.
We too have tried to adapt and respond to the challenges of 2020 in ways that helped to provide expertise and opportunities for sharing among our partners, to give desperately needed operating and project support, to elevate the voices of communities whose voices are too seldom heard or amplified, and to reach out to our communities with resources during times of pandemic-related isolation.
If you’re inspired by the reach and impact of public humanities projects and programming, please consider a tax-deductible donation to the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. Your generosity will bolster financial support and resources for organizations statewide at a time when they are needed the most.
Despite all the changes that 2020 has brought, our role within the state remains the same. We are honored to support amazing organizations as they pivot to advance their missions and further the well-being of our New Jersey communities. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.
Gratefully,
The Entire NJCH Team
