The willingness to work for the betterment of the community. To serve the community have morals, honesty, and empathy. They should be knowledgeable of the consequences of their action. Be civic engaged and registered to vote. Good parenting teaches good ethics and morals, be kindhearted and have empathy.

It is a right we have access. It is important to keep people out of power. Keep bad actors out of positions. If you are a state worker, you have the option to vote cause you have the day off – all have the power to change outcomes.

The spreading of fake news that divides citizens keeping them from working to improve society as well as the way capitalism has affected things and allows the rich too much control over government.

So many people worked tirelessly to allow women/minorities/etc. to vote, so why would you waste that. Gives you the power to make an impact based on your beliefs and perspectives. Your influence on society.

Voting is important because each voice matters, in order to work towards a better community, there must be a good and just leader in front.

I remember going with my mom to vote when I was a kid, probably 5 years old. I have the strongest memory of the curtain closing around us and peeking out at the poll workers from behind it. My mom let me pull the lever to record her votes. That would have been around 1982.
