Six NJ organizations selected for first-ever “Humanities Lab” cohort
Six New Jersey nonprofit organizations have been selected for the first-ever cohort of “Humanities Lab,” a new program of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. The program was created to provide a space for organizations to experiment with new program ideas, learn about new program models, and push their own practices in exciting directions.

April Update: 2023 Cohort Diving Into Community-based Public History
The 2023 cohort’s participants all come from non-history-based organizations, including Haddonfield Public Library, Indian American Club, Preserve Shady Rest Committee, Union Public Library, and Washington Township Public Library. After one-on-one meetings with program staff and two hybrid intensive workshops in March and April, this cohort is diving into community-based public history!
