Cristen Piatnochka is the Lead Facilitator of the Community History Program. She has more than ten years experience working in the New Jersey history field. Cristen advises cultural organizations, throughout the state, on building inclusive environments, developing audience-focused programming, and supporting equity projects that advance the next generation of cultural leaders. Previously, she served as the Grants Program Officer at the New Jersey Historical Commission, where she proudly served on the Emmy-nominated project, It Happened Here: New Jersey. Cristen has a BA in History from Stockton University and a MA in History from Monmouth University. In 2022, she completed a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate at Cornell University.
