Voices and Votes Opening Reception – Atlantic Cape Community College

You’re invited! Atlantic Cape Community College welcomes the public to their opening reception for the Smithsonian’s Voices and Votes: Democracy in America Exhibit on Thursday, July 7th, 5:00-7:00PM. Click here to RSVP by June 29th.

Voices and Votes is based on a major exhibition currently on display at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The exhibition explores the action, reaction, vision and revision that democracy demands as Americans continue to question how to shape the country. From the revolution and suffrage, to civil rights and casting ballots, everyone in every community is part of this ever-evolving story—the story of democracy in America.

Opening at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus on July 11th, Voices and Votes will be on view through August 13. Atlantic Cape and its surrounding community has been chosen by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities to host Voices and Votes as part of the Museum on Main Street program—a national/state/local partnership to bring exhibitions and programs to rural cultural organizations.
