What does it mean to be a good citizen?
Shortly before I cast my first vote in 1972, I overheard a woman about my age (20) saying, “My father says ‘Like the way you live? Then vote for Nixon.’ I was shocked at the selfishness. A good citizen should consider that we’re all in this together.”
