Planning for 2019: Applying for a NJCH Grant
December 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM | Highland Park, NJ | Highland Park Public Library
If you're thinking about applying for a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, this might be the perfect workshop for you.
Registration information will be available on/around 10/15/18. Check back for more details.
Director of Grants & Programs Gigi Naglak will provide an overview of the Incubation and Action Grant Program as well as the application process. Topics to be explored are:
What qualifies as humanities content?
How do I find the right humanities scholar?
Why is audience so important in my application?
Also, participants will discuss their potential projects in small groups and receive and provide feedback about planning for public humanities programming. This type of informal collaboration will be useful, as fresh perspective in a supported setting can help to clarify project purpose, audience, and process. Discussion will align with the NJCH grant applications so that everyone participating in the workshop will be one step closer to being ready to apply.
All participants should review the Grants section of njhumanities.org prior to the workshop and prepare notes or an outline about their potential humanities project.
